\n

Quiet as a kitten’s cry,<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Wanting only the serenity<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Of his mother’s warm milk,<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Comforting as a plush toy<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Stuffed with caring cotton’s<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Wintry lucidity.<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P><\/BLOCKQUOTE>

But the hidden pain<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

Of love’s poison arrow<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

Now the summer breeze<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Is a tropical storm,<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Caring not what anyone<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Else thinks,<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Ravaging.<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

The cry,<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Is no longer<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

That of a kitten,<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

But a loud mournful<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

Caterwaul,<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

Like a ruttish cat<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

Longing for a mate.<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

Alas,<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

The plush toy<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Has been worn from use<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

And misuse.<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

And its caring cotton<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Has been stained<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

From its travels.<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Up and down,<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Up and down,<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Being dragged through the<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>
\n

Tainted emotions of others.<\/O:P><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P><\/BLOCKQUOTE>
